POTUS then exchanged pleasantries with Sultan of Brunei, PM Trudeau of Canada and Chinese President Xi Jinping. He then took his seat.

Pool was ushered out within minutes of entering. He spray was about an hour later than scheduled. The host said the leaders had been talking to IMF chief Lagarde.

Pool is moving to hold.
